University of Dundee Scholarships for African Students are currently ongoing. So, in this article, we will discuss more about the scholarship, its value, eligibility and application process.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships for African Students at the University of Dundee are offered for postgraduate, undergraduate in the field of courses offered by the university.

The University is a public research university in Dundee and was established as a college in 1881 with a donation from the famous Baxter family of fabric makers.

The university was, for most of its early existence, a central college of the University of St Andrews, alongside United College and St Mary’s College, based in the city of St Andrews itself. However, after the important increase, the University of Dundee gained independent university status by royal charter in 1967, retaining much of its former heritage and governance structure.

The University of Dundee’s main campus is situated in Dundee’s West End, which contains most of the university’s teaching and research facilities, the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee Law School and Dental Hospital and School.

The university also has extra facilities at Ninewells Hospital, which contains its medical school Perth Royal Infirmary, which houses a clinical research centre, and in Kirkcaldy, Fife, which contains school of nursing and health sciences.

The University of Dundee traces its history to the former University College located in Dundee and the University of St Andrews. However, during the 19th century, Dundee’s growing population notably increased the demand for the formation of an institution of higher learning in the city and different organizations were founded to further this goal, including a university club in the city.
