Capitec Bank Vacancies. Capitec Bank is a South African retail bank. As of August 2017, the bank was ranked the second largest retail bank in South Africa based on the number of customers, with 120,000 customers opening new accounts per month.
Capitec Bank Overview
The bank has 500 retail branches across the country, 3,418 own or partner ATMs and more than 6.2 million customers, according to the CFO’s 2015 Report. Of these customers, 309,000 are online banking customers and 3.5 million are mobile banking customers.
According to 2015 annual results, Capitec Bank’s asset base was over BRL 53.9 billion, with BRL 11.6 billion in equity and retail savings deposits increasing 32% in the year to R$19.3 billion and fixed retail savings increasing 19% to R10.7 billion in the year. Core earnings and revenues for fiscal 2015 totaled BRL 2.547 billion compared to BRL 2.017 billion in 2014, and net transaction fee income totaled BRL 2.6 billion.
The bank offers its customers the Global One account, which is a transaction/savings account and credit line rolled into one.
In terms of customer satisfaction, according to the results of the South African Customer Satisfaction Index (SAcsi) in 2015, Capitec Bank comes first with 82.2 points. Capitec Bank emerged as the best bank in the world by the international banking advisory group Lafferty in its first Bank Quality Rankings.
As of February 2017 “the majority, over 5.5 million, of Capitec’s customers pay less than R50 per month in bank charges”.
